At Girlguiding South West England, we believe that every girl deserves the chance to discover her potential, make friends, and have fun in a supportive environment. To help make this possible, our Membership Growth and Retention Lead Volunteer Team works across the region to inspire, support, and empower volunteers to grow and sustain our membership.
Our team focuses on creating welcoming spaces where new members (both girls and volunteers) can join, thrive, and stay engaged in guiding. We collaborate closely with counties and local teams to share best practices, develop resources, and champion initiatives that celebrate diversity and inclusion, strengthen local communities, and ensure every girl who wants to be part of guiding has the opportunity to do so.
Together, we’re building a vibrant, growing guiding community - one that values connection, creativity, and commitment at every level. Whether it’s helping a unit reopen, supporting recruitment events, or finding new ways to keep our members engaged, the Growth and Retention team is here to make sure guiding in the South West continues to flourish for years to come.
