This is an important role providing advice to the County/Island team on issues relating to Inclusion and ensuring that Leaders are kept up to date with related resources and policies from Girlguiding.  The role is open to any adult member and no specific qualifications are required, but you will need to hold A Safe Space Level 3.  An understanding of the necessity for equal opportunities for members with additional needs and the support to enable all members to be able to take part in Girlguiding is desirable, together with an awareness of Girlguiding policies on Inclusion and an understanding of 'Inclusion for All'.

Thanks and recognition is a key area of the Region's work and this is an important and high profile role, reporting direct to the Chief Commissioner and leading on and developing thanks and recognition within the Region.  The term of office is initially for three years, with the possible extension of a further two, and the role is open to any adult member of Girlguiding who holds a range of experiences as a volunteer.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for you to join the Region Team as a Membership Support Assistant.  This is a new role providing administrative support to our Volunteers and acting as the first point of contact for enquiries relating to the national recruitment system.  

Amongst other duties you will prepare budgets, reports and statistical data; organise and deliver training sessions, events and activities; attend meetings both face to face and virtually and record the minutes.

The role is full time (35 hours per week) and based in the Region Office in Salisbury, but we are currently moving towards a hybrid working arrangement with three days in the office and two working from home.  Specific working patterns are negotiable.  Occasional weekend and evening working will be required in return for time off in lieu.

Salary:  £22,000 per annum.

This Region role is open to anyone over 18 years of age who is a member, or is willing to become a member of Girlguiding.  You will need to hold appropriate walking qualifications, A Safe Space Level 3 (or be willing to complete this) and to understand the rules and regulations regarding walking activities.  A Trainer or Assessor qualification or willingness to undertake these would be an advantage.
