Every Unit should have a minimum of one Leader with a current 1st Response qualification and it is a requirement for a First Aider to be present at any Guiding activity.
The leader development programme, sometimes referred to as the LDP, is a self-led, flexible learning journey for anyone who wants to become a Girlguiding leader. It’s replacing the leadership qualification, often called the LQ, which’ll be phased out by September 2023.
Click here to check the A Safe Space training required for your role. All Levels of A Safe Space need to be renewed every three years. Your Levels will not necessarily expire at the same time. If you take on a new role, you will have 120 days from the start date to complete the required training.
Trainers are required to renew their Training Qualification every three years and the forms and information provided should help with this process.
