Nature needs our help. Nearly 40% of wildlife and plants in the UK are declining and 1 in 7 are at risk of being lost from the UK altogether. There are many threats to nature such as: the way land is farmed; climate change; pollution and the destruction of habitats to house building. The good news is that, throughout the UK and across the world, there are people working hard to restore habitats and care for wildlife. We can all do our bit to help nature.
Build your knowledge to understand what threats face nature and how we can help it. To earn this badge, you need to have a positive impact on nature in your community. This should be a challenge matched to your age and ability. We will make some suggestions for how each activity may be suitable for the different units, but you are able to adapt as needed. Ensure it is still a challenge, and you still have a positive impact on your community.
