Over the weekend Girlguiding South West England took to Fairford, Gloucestershire, to visit the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT).
On Friday, we engaged with school children as well as some of our young members, allowing them to meet some of the region team, and take part in activities such as those from our SWEBOTS resource, and of course, everyone’s favourite – friendship bracelets. It was great to see so many enthusiastic faces learning about Girlguiding, as well as some of our young members being lucky enough to bump into region ambassador, Mandy, who stopped for photos and gave out her badges. On Saturday and Sunday, we spoke with families, as well as getting out and about across the site to talk to those in aviation and promote Girlguiding South West England and our aims of helping all girls know they can do anything.
