On Saturday 22 June, we hosted our large-scale regional event, GLOW24, which turned out to be a fantastic, fun-filled, and action-packed day. The event featured over 70 different activities, offering a wide variety of engaging experiences such as high ropes, slip and slide, swish upcycling, archery, shooting, and even pizza making.
The highlight of GLOW24 was the impressive turnout, with over 2000 girls and their leaders attending and demonstrating that girls truly can do anything!
The day was further enriched by the presence of five of our amazing ambassadors, each contributing uniquely to the event:
Ambassador Jude and the team from the Royal Navy facilitated activities focused on team building and leadership.
Ambassador Holly engaged attendees by discussing her books and helping them create personalised bookmarks.
Ambassadors Debbie and Laura showcased engineering skills through exciting rocket launches and motorboat building workshops.
Ambassador Brogan took over our social media channels, conducting interviews with the attendees and showcasing all the fantastic activities GLOW24 had to offer.
The day was a true success, filled with the buzz of excitement as Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, and Rangers all experienced something new, challenged themselves, and most importantly, had fun and collected some new badges.
This wonderful day could not have happened without our team of volunteers. A heartfelt thank you to the 150 members who gave up their time and offered their invaluable expertise to help deliver the day.
