The Girlguiding South West England community champion challenge is all about inspiring our fantastic members to get involved in their local communities and make a positive difference.
This badge set includes 3 badges that can be purchased individually or as a full set – allowing complete flexibility for everyone. It is designed to build upon each previous activity and allow for multiple community actions to be rewarded. As a starter, we would suggest awarding the main bottom badge for the initial community activity completed, with the 2 smaller top badges marking for any additional future actions.
You can purchase your badges on our region shop. These are priced at £1.25 each for the larger bottom rectangle, £1 each for the additional smaller badges, or £2.50 for the full set of 3.
This guidance document has been created to provide activity ideas to get you started, linking with the Girlguiding programme. However, this list is not exhaustive and there is plenty of scope to explore your own creative ways to take action and we would encourage you to use your own judgement with what you deem as a community focused activity.
