Girlguiding South West England have partnered with Tash from The Swish, and have launched a brand-new annual fashion upcycling challenge pack, coinciding with Global Recycling Day on 18 March.
Girlguiding units can complete creative challenges that educate them around sustainable fashion, and inspire them to start thrifting, upcycling and making their own clothes. Every challenge puts a spotlight on sustainability and are based around 5 themes of re-styling, re-working, re-gifting, researching, and discovering your unique style.
We have prepared this resource to be as flexible as possible – the activities are designed to be completed at home or at unit meetings and can be completed over as many weeks as you need. We have provided full instructions and what you’ll need for each activity within the resource pack - some are just suggestions and you can adapt them to your needs, as well as if you want to fit it around any of the Girlguiding programme (there are quite a few interest and skills builder badges as well as UMAs that can be incorporated into the challenges).
Download the resource pack now and start your upcycling challenge.
This resource is free. Upon booking you will receive a booking confirmation with the resource pack attached.
Badges will be £1 from our online shop.
Why not join our Swish Facebook group, and check out all the upcycling creations, tips and tricks.
