I am a guide leader, LQ mentor and Dorset lead volunteer for commissioner support. I have been guiding in Wiltshire South, then Dorset for over 30 years.
In my working life, safeguarding is very much at the front and centre, I am a solicitor (specialising in family law and residential conveyancing). It is in this field both as risk manager for the firm and working with families to obtain outcomes post-divorce and separation, that my safeguarding experience really stems from. For several years, I also chaired the committee of our local supported contact centre, before it’s closure in 2023.
