I started my guiding journey at 7 and aside from a few years to complete my degree, I've been involved ever since. I love the experiences and friendships that guiding has given me. While I’ve always been passionate about Guiding, my own international adventures didn't begin until 2015, when I gained my license by taking a group of Guides to Switzerland. That trip gave me the confidence to never look back, and seeing the incredible experiences it gave our young members ignited my passion for international travel within Guiding.
My professional background as a photographer in the NHS and my current role arranging school trips and residentials has given me unique skills, which I've used in my various Guiding roles, including Assistant and Division Commissioner, Assistant County Commissioner, and County OAA & International Adviser. Now, as the Lead Volunteer for International, I'm excited to share my experience and help other members find their own international adventures.
