We have now covered over 33,000 miles on The Great Region Ramble - over 29 laps of the Region!
Amelia Baird and her Mum from 4th Bitterne Brownies have set out to walk a whole lap between them. They have already walked over 700 miles so are on track to reach their target! Claire Baird (Brown Owl) told us, 'We are both avid walkers and last year we were due to go to Spain to walk part of the Camino de Santiago, but we had to cancel due to the pandemic. This Challenge has come at a perfect time for us and we were lucky enough to spend two weeks in Royal Deeside and add some more miles to our Challenge. We hiked up Craigendarroch Hill which was very steep and walked along the River Dee which was beautiful. We've also walked in the New Forest and more locally to us in Victoria Country Park'. Brilliant, thank you Amelia and Claire!

We have produced a Challenge Sheet with new outdoor activities to be completed during your ramble, whether you are out in the countryside, at the beach, or in a city or town. Complete five of these to qualify for our fabulous badge - there is something for every age and many of the activities will also count towards your UMA's and Skill Builders. As always, the activities can be adapted to suit any special circumstances.
