Girlguiding SWE at the PSP Southampton Boat Show

From 10 – 19 September 2010, the PSP Southampton Boat show returns to Mayflower Park.

For our Centenary Girlguiding SWE has been offered a stand and a ticket discount for all members!

We will be showing off what Guiding has to offer with opportunities for everyone. There will be a kayaking competition and other fun activities to get involved in.

We are looking for volunteers from the Senior Section to help us on the stand. You will get free entry and time to roam around and enjoy the show. If you are interested in helping email laurenl@girlguiding-southwestengland.org.uk

In Girlguiding there are so many water based opportunities to jump into such as kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and raft building.The most recent Region Dragon boat racing involved over 200 girls from all around the Region.

Next year there will be a large event to be held at Wimbleball Lake where girls will have to opportunity to try out lots of different water activities.

Members can take there passion for the water further by attending our Training weekends where they can gain qualifications in Kayaking, sailing and rafting.
