This page has been set up to enable Advisors to share useful ideas and information with others. If you have anything you think fellow Advisors or Leaders would find useful, please send it to Susie at susiel@girlguiding-southwestengland.org.uk.
Involve a Friend
Do you have a (non-guiding) friend who has a useful or unusual skill which they might like to share with your Unit? Or do you know someone who might have a little time they can offer to Guiding on an occasional basis? Why not invite them along to one of your Meetings to see what Guiding is all about. They might enjoy it so much they'll want to join you more regularly.
Forms
All the forms you will need can be found on the Girlguiding UK website - members’ area/resource library/forms.
Don’t forget that Health Care Plans MUST be completed as routine for girls with additional needs or special medical conditions. This is not just a requirement for overseas trips.
Guiding Grants
Grants and loan funds are available to help individuals with the cost of attending trainings and conferences; to assist those suffering financial hardship to raise funds in order to attend an event, camp, or international event; or to help groups with the cost of building or maintenance projects.

Guiding Awards
Do you know someone in your District, Division or County/Island who is special and who you feel deserves recognition for what they do for Guiding? Have you thought about nominating them for a Guiding Award?
Click here to find out about the different Awards that can be presented to members and non-members.
If you are thinking of nominating someone for an Award, either talk it over with your Commissioner, or contact Jenni Freeth on jennif@girlguiding-southwestengland.org.uk who will be pleased to send you further details and a nomination form.
