2013 Charity Challenges
Girlguiding UK's Charity Challenges are open to Leaders and volunteers over 18.
Iceland Volcano Ice Cap Trek (10th - 18th August 2013):
This nine-day trek will include incredible views of wild volcanic landscapes, mountains, glaciers, hot springs and waterfalls. Iceland's rich history, literature and folklore make it a fascinating country to explore. Trek from the active Mount Hekla to Landmannalaugar and then head south through the mountains to the permanent icecaps of Myrdals and Eyjafjallajokull - 'Glacier of islands'.
Nepal Himalaya Trek (31st October - 10th November 2013):
This will be a fantastic 11-day trip with the combination of spectacular scenery and fascinating culture in the Annapurna section of the Himalayas. The trip starts in the fascinating city of Kathmandu, then moves north to Pokhara where the trek begins and ends, before returning to Kathmandu for a free day to explore.
